Low density, inert material composed of hollow alumino-silicate glass spheres.



Chemical Composition (typical):

Silica as SiO2: 50 - 63%

Aluminium as Al2O3: 24 - 38%

Iron as Fe2O3: 1 - 7%

Potassium as K2O: 0.5 - 6%

Calcium as CaO: 0 - 2%

Magnesium as MgO: 0 - 2%

Titanium as TiO2: 0 - 2%

Sodium as Na2O: 0 - 2%



Physical Properties (typical):

Appearance: Grey/White powder

Specific gravity: Less than 0.78g/cm³

Moisture: 0.5% maximum

% Sinkers: 5% maximum by volume

Sintering temperature: 1200c

Melting temperature: 1350c

Loss on ignition at 1000c: < 3%
